Can I adjust the flame height? Some fireplace valves have a variable flame adjustment. We recommend referring to your owners manual to locate the flame adjustment dial. If you aren’t sure, our factory certified technicians can further advise you during our in home service.
Can I reposition my logs? Gas logs are designed to sit in a predetermined pattern around the burner ports. Moving the logs could cause significant damage and sooting from flame impingement. So, NO!

If you feel comfortable lighting your pilot, then turning it off during the off season will save you a little bit of gas consumption.
