We never or rarely use our fireplace. Why do we need to get it serviced?
Fact: Fireplaces go dormant and fall apart much faster than a fireplace that gets used. Water and condensation on or inside the firebox will damage a fireplace. Rust sets in and destroys vital metal components. Dust, pet dander, and cobwebs build up on the top, underneath, as well as inside the fireplace. Bugs frequently nest in the burners and can clog up burner ports and disrupt the flow of gas. A fireplace is designed to burn; not to sit dormant and rot away!
